What is the advantage in using ATCO Travel versus the internet?

We provide a full service consulting service to you. We’ll research and recommend the very best options including major suppliers’ programs and prices. We know destinations, hotels and resorts around the world, and we’re specialists in getting you there with the most convenient routing and best airfare.  We’ve been in business for 32 years and we stand behind the products that we sell.    

Do you charge a service fee on packages and cruises?
We DO NOT charge a service fee on package holidays with tour operators or cruises.  Our price to you for these services is the same as on internet sites, yet we give you the added value of our researching and comparing product offers.

Do you represent all major Canadian travel suppliers and international cruise lines?
We sell most major popular tour operators including Transat, Nolitours, Sunquest, Thomas Cook, Holiday House, Fun Sun, Signature, Sunwing and others.  International tour operators include Insight, Trafalgar, Collette Vacations, Abercrombie and Kent, as examples. We have strong a cruise program, representing lines such as Holland America, Princess, Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, Azamara, Seabourn, Silversea, Windstar (tall ships) and others. Our relationship is excellent with these suppliers and we will search for the best value for you.

What insurance coverage is available?
ATCO Travel sells RBC Travel Insurance. At time of booking we discuss coverage options including comprehensive coverage, cancellation protection and medical.  We highly recommend insurance, and there is no additional service fee.

What other types of vacations are handled by ATCO Travel?
Our counsellors have experience with an extensive range of destinations and product types. For example, we can provide adventure holidays, safaris, independent driving tours in Europe, golf vacations, beach resorts and luxury hotels. Our preferred suppliers enable us to meet clients’ needs at all price ranges, from luxury programs at the best hotels in the world, to budget vacations.  We can book hotels and car rentals in Canada and abroad.

Do you offer any emergency services?
Yes, ATCO Travel clients can contact an after hours agent 24 hours a day for emergency services, 7 days a week.

Can a custom vacation be built other than those offered by package operators?
Yes, we regularly build independent travel itineraries to meet a clients requirements, including scheduled air, selected hotels from those we’ve researched and recommend, and special features including sightseeing or other activities.  Our counsellors are experienced in building custom itineraries.
