CONGRATULATIONS
NORM PAYNE!
Norm
Payne, one of ATCO Travel's dedicated vacation
counsellors, has won the 2007 NATIONAL
ACTA Atlas Award for Travel Professional
of the Year!
This
award recognizes an active travel agent who
has made a great contribution to the travel
industry and whose outstanding professional
activity has advanced the status of travel agents.

With
more than 22 years experience, Norm is widely
known for his energy, integrity, expert knowledge,
travel foresight, incredible customer advocacy,
sense of humour, stellar sales achievements
and solving the most difficult travel problems.
Norm
has received other recognitions for his dedication
to his profession, including the recent ATCO
Travel President's Sky Award
in 2006.
In
addition to Norm's award, ATCO Travel is also
the proud winner of the 2007 ACTA Atlas Award
for Travel Agency of the Year (AB &
NWT).

ID
Requirements - Flying within Canada
JUNE
18 - SEPT 18, 2007
Canadian air passengers who appear to be between
12 and 17 years of age will be required
to present only one piece of government-issued
ID without photo.
The
following pieces of valid government-issued
ID may be counted toward the requirements:

Citizenship card |

Health card |

Permanent Resident card |

Provincial/Territorial government identification
cards |

Birth Certificate |
-
Record of Landing Form / Confirmation of
Permanent Residence |

Immigration documents issued to foreign
nationals |
- Social Insurance Number (SIN) card |
Permitting
travellers under 18 years of age to fly with
only one piece of ID allows families to maintain
their travel plans over the summer, as they
become aware of the full requirements of the
Passenger Protect Program that will be in place
in September.
AFTER SEPT 18, 2007
All passengers planning to travel on Canadian
domestic flights, who appear to be 12
yrs of age or older, are to present
the following ID before boarding:

One piece of valid government-issued photo
ID that shows name, date of birth and gender |
| OR |
| -
Two pieces of valid government-issued ID
(without a photo), one of which shows name,
date of birth, and gender |
| AND |
| -
The name on the identification must match
the name on the boarding pass |
All rules for flights to the United States and
other international travel continue to apply.
The verification of passenger's ID is already
a practice followed by most major air carriers
in Canada.
